The Company has developed a Meetings & Events Platform and intends to be a 'market maker' as well as a 'market disruptor' in the fragmented Global Meetings and Events sector. The combination of vendors and venues in one direct connection, combined with real time availability, does not exist. In addition, there are no existing systems that link into corporate hotels to deliver real time availability on their venue portfolio.
The Platform will resolve this, linking up with data sources for venue availability and a wide selection of service providers for events at venues. The Platform will be a B2B and B2C first call market place and disruptor, allowing clients to look at availability of venues instantly and select their services from a list of suitable suppliers.
The Company plans to gain 5% of this market over 5 years resulting in a potential turnover of $700M (formed of fees against completed bookings @ 10%).
The Platform will create the market place for this disruptor, by cross selling additional services on the site i.e. catering, entertainment, decorative services, wedding planners, but will not look to compete with existing hotel internal corporate booking teams, thus ensuring a less complex and zero threat opportunity.
Bootstrapped by the founder, plus a Friends & Family round, the platform is poised for Launch in Q2 2016. Forecast Y2 turnover of £1.7m with an ebitda of £405k.
